THE DOLL FOUNDATION
Every Grant Changes a Life.
Through the generosity of our donors and supporters, we have been able to provide grants and scholarships to those in need.
Each grant and scholarship represents a meaningful opportunity to make a difference — helping seniors, caregivers, and families when they need it most.
Small Foundation. Growing Need.
As a grassroots nonprofit, The Doll Foundation operates with a simple but powerful mission: to help those who need us most.
Unfortunately, the need for assistance continues to exceed the funding available. We receive more requests for grants and scholarships than we are currently able to fulfill.
Every request represents a person or family seeking help, and every unfunded request reminds us why our work must continue to grow.
With increased support from individuals, businesses, and community partners, we can expand our reach, award more grants and scholarships, and respond to more families facing difficult circumstances.
Help Us Make the Next Grant Possible
Our vision is to build a stronger community where seniors and caregivers have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
Your donation can help us turn another request for assistance into a story of hope.
Give Today. Change a Life.

An active caregiver sought the scholarship to advance her career and build upon the hands-on experience she had already gained caring for others. She described caregiving as more than completing daily tasks—it was about making people feel safe, secure, respected, and genuinely cared for. Becoming a CNA would allow her to strengthen her clinical skills and continue growing in the healthcare field.
This recipient had spent years working as a caregiver and had developed a deep appreciation for serving older adults and individuals who needed daily assistance. She wanted to obtain her CNA certification so she could expand her knowledge, take on greater responsibilities in healthcare, and continue providing compassionate care to vulnerable individuals.
This recipient had been working as a caregiver since 2017 and had experience with different areas of home healthcare. She was working toward CNA certification while also helping financially support her daughter and two grandchildren. At the time, one of her grandchildren had recently returned home after spending nearly three weeks hospitalized with a serious medical condition. The scholarship helped reduce the financial burden of continuing her education while she was helping support her family.
This recipient had extensive experience in patient care and home healthcare, working with patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. She wanted additional education to continue progressing toward her long-term goals in the medical field. CNA training represented another step in building her professional skills and increasing the impact she could make in the lives of patients.
This recipient’s desire to care for seniors was deeply personal. She was raised by her great-aunt, who was already in her 70s when she retired to care for her and lived to age 89. That relationship shaped her love and respect for older adults. She later became a caregiver herself and shared that she would even visit residents while they were hospitalized or in rehabilitation because caring for them meant more to her than simply doing a job. She wanted CNA certification so she could do even more for the seniors she served.
While going through major life changes, including a divorce, this recipient remained focused on building a future through healthcare. She explained that her passion for helping others had become increasingly clear over the years. The scholarship provided support at a transitional point in her life and helped her continue pursuing CNA training rather than allowing her personal circumstances to interrupt her career goals.
This recipient wanted to obtain her CNA license but faced the challenge of paying for training while also caring for her young son. She already had a passion for caregiving but needed financial assistance to take the next step professionally. The scholarship helped remove the cost barrier while giving her an opportunity to pursue a healthcare career and demonstrate to her son the importance of education and perseverance.
This recipient shared that she came from a family of hardworking women and moved to Houston at age 17 with very little, but with a determination to create a better life. After working a variety of jobs, her experiences in healthcare led her toward becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. As a mother, she also wanted her children to see that circumstances such as being a single parent, working part-time, experiencing loss, or facing financial challenges do not have to stop someone from pursuing their goals. The scholarship helped bring CNA certification and a stronger healthcare career within reach.
